Casey Thompson, was born November 11, 1987, and passed away on March 5, 2026. Casey was known as the golden child of Raquelle Dort and Darrell Thompson.Casey lived her life with warmth, laughter, and compassion that touched everyone she met. She earned her master's degree in social work and dedicated herself to advocating for mental health awareness, a cause close to her heart. When she wasn't helping others, she found joy in traveling the world, she was always chasing new experiences; but the beach was her true happy place, where it reflected her free spirit and endless appreciation for life's simple, beautiful moments, and was the one place where her soul seemed most at peace.
Beyond her professional life and advocacy, Casey worked as a bartender, where her caring heart and humor left lasting impressions on countless friends and patrons. To many, she was more than a familiar face; she was someone who truly saw them. She built a circle of lifelong friends who became like family, and she remained deeply devoted to the people she loved most.
To know Casey was to be lifted. Casey had a rare gift, she had an unmatched ability to make every room brighter and every person feel valued. Within moments, she would have people smiling, laughing, and feeling at ease. She made it her mission to make sure everyone around her was okay. Her laugh was contagious, her presence comforting, and her heart endlessly giving.
Casey is survived by her sister, Chelsea DeFelice, along with many loving family members and lifelong friends who will forever carry her spirit with them. Though she is no longer here, her light will never fade. Casey will be remembered for her kindness, her humor, her strength, and the way she made people feel seen, heard, and loved. She built a life full of meaningful relationships, and the love she gave so freely will continue to ripple through all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on April 25th from 12pm to 5pm at Nathan Bill's Bar and Restaurant in Springfield, MA. In honor of Casey, a donation will be made to support mental health advocacy.
