Explore the beauty of traditional quilt patterns through printmaking in this hands-on textile workshop.

Inspired by classic quilt blocks, participants will design and carve their own linocut block, focusing on bold shapes, repetition, and pattern. We’ll look at traditional quilt motifs and how they translate into striking printed designs.

Once carved, you’ll learn how to ink and print your block onto fabric, creating your own patterned textile piece. Emphasis will be placed on composition, spacing, and building a repeating pattern across cloth.

This workshop is ideal for beginners and those looking to expand their printmaking practice into textiles.

Participants will leave with:

• a hand-carved linocut block

• printed textile pieces (tea towel and Ifabric panel)

• an understanding of pattern-based printing and textile design

All materials are provided. No prior experience necessary.
