About this Event
Two Austin acts bringing chamber and jazz-centric indie vibes to Quacks on a Sunday
Maru Haru (Mah - ɾɯ Hah - ɾɯ) is an Austin-based indie rock band whose orchestral, electronic, and folk styles evokes from ethereal to bombastic. From telling stories of Asian American experiences, self-discovery, and acceptance, we strive to share nostalgia, empathy, and affirmation through our music.
Carol Anne Bosco’s music includes playfully melodramatic ballads, mischievous tunes about cold-blooded baseball players, and lyrical homages to California coastal highways. Her original songs integrate jazz, classical, and folk elements, and are arranged for a chameleon band that can be as small as a solo cello and vox set, as big as a ten-piece band with rhythm section and string quartet arrangements. She writes with an emphasis on interesting melody lines, energetic grooves, and ranging solos.
