Help! Have you got an interesting job?!After an incredibly successful careers
fair two years ago (in one afternoon, 35
careers were represented across 5
rooms!) the Upper Key Stage 2 staff are
hoping to run another careers fair on
the afternoon of Thursday 5th
February for the year 5 and 6 children...
but we need your help!
We're looking for as many volunteers as possible to give the children either a 10 or 20-minute
presentation about their career. This
could be in person, or over Teams, and
would ideally involve an explanation as
to what your job involves, why you
enjoy it, what skills and qualifications
you need to be able to do it and maybe
some funny stories about things that
have happened as part of it.
This links with our PSHE topic next half
term (Dreams and Goals) and we hope
will give our older children aspirations
for the future. If it’s as successful as
last time, we’re hoping to provide the
children with a choice of presentations
to attend and to run it in several rooms
concurrently, with the children having
pre-picked the presentations they want
to go and watch. If you (or anyone else
you know who's got an even more
interesting career than you - feel free to
pass this on!) would be prepared to
present, please complete this form

tjQ956QGdM by Wednesday 21st
January giving a brief description of
your job and career path as well as any
times that you would be able to present
between 1 and 3pm on the afternoon of
5th February.
This year, we are particularly keen to
promote careers in the arts, hands-on
and applied career pathways, and roles
that offer strong opportunities for
neurodivergent individuals.
Do pass this on and encourage friends
with interesting jobs to volunteer... we
can't really do it with just three
teachers presenting!
