About this Event

Event description:
High school and college students: discover how German can launch your global future! Join us in person at the Goethe-Institut New York to connect with representatives from German companies, universities, exchange organizations, and more. Whether you're curious about studying in Germany or exploring career paths that value German language skills, this interactive event offers direct access to the people who can help you take the next step. Participating partners and panelists will be listed soon.
Event timeline:

  • 10 am: doors open
  • 11:30 am-12:00 pm: Panel 1: Why German(y) Now? Launching Careers with Language and Intercultural Experience
  • 1:30 pm-2:15 pm: Panel 2: Mid-Level Professionals
  • 4:00 pm: doors close

  2. German(y) for the Long Haul: Language Skills That Last a Career: Mid-career professionals reflect on how their experiences with German and Germany have opened doors, shaped opportunities, and sustained global careers.

Note: panel discussions will be recorded and made available after the event for anyone unable to attend during that time.


Registration:
Event is free to attend — advance registration required. Teachers please register with the amount of students and chaperones you will be attending the event with. The tickets are broken up into time slots as to ensure we do not go over space capacity. If your plans change or there are any questions, do not hesitate to reach out.
