Join Cape May Cares for a reading of the new play “La Garage”. Set in the Fall of 1978, "La Garage," a fierce, funny and heartbreaking play about survival and sisterhood and the things that no one warns us about. Inspired by a true story, this is the journey of five women of a certain age and one sharp-eyed 12-year-old girl, all coming of age in the one spot they can call their own, a garage, and in the only way they know how - together.Your ticket supports the Cape May Cares All Star Kids Theater Camp, where young people gain confidence and creativity through hands-on theater experiences. Campers learn what it takes to bring a production to life from start to finish—exploring performance, collaboration, listening skills, and imagination along the way. It’s a fun and empowering way for kids to express themselves and discover their voices.
The reading will take place at Cape May Stage, followed by a reception at a nearby restaurant with complimentary light bites and a cash bar—an opportunity to support a great cause.
Tickets are $35 - every dollar goes directly to support the Cape May Cares All Star Kids Theater Camp. Buy tickets or Donate here: https://ticketstripe.com/cmctheatercamp
