Canstruction 2025 March 6th - April 3rd
CANstruction is an anti-hunger project that was founded over 20 years ago by the Society for Design Administration, an affiliate organization of the American Institute of Architects. CANstruction events are now being held in more than 100 cities across North America.
Teams of architects, engineers, designers, contractors, and students mentored by these professionals, compete to design and build giant structures made entirely from cans of food.
CANstruction YQL has been around since 2011. Our 2018 event saw 9 teams participate and together they managed to donate approximately 24,109 pounds of food to food banks in the YQL area - this translates roughly to a donation of $60,271!
