About this event: This no-cost, two-day, in-person training follows the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association Training Program, recognized across Canada. It will give volunteers, caregivers, and interested community members the confidence to provide quality support services in any setting, whether in hospice, care centres, or a private home.

Day 1:

- 08:15 - 08:30: Welcome by community host
- 08:30 - 10:00: Introduction & Role of the Volunteer
- 10:15 - 11:45: Family Dynamics
- 12:30 - 14:00: Effective Communication
- 14:15 - 15:45: Supporting Individuals at Home or in Hospice Care
- 16:00 - 16:45: Emotional and Psychological Support
Day 2:

Certificate of Attendance: Available to participants who attend both days.
