Will be hiking,
This will be a great chance to get out into the forest with your best friend and see what we are all about. You will also get to see and plan your strategy for the following days event.
If you are worried about your fitness level, don't be as there will probably be someone around the same level. There will be plenty of mini stops as we put up trail markers.
MEETING SPOT
Is in the Banksia Picnic Area Car Park. It's approximately 1.5 km from the turn off at Mangrove Rd.
TRAIL
We will be following the long course race trail for Sundays event. It will be on sihgle trail. The track is on the side of a hill and can be described as undulating.
WEATHER
We will still go ahead if it's raining.
Please note if it's wet, there may be leeches. We recommend spraying your legs, ankles and shoes with Aerogaud or Bushmans etc. Usually there are not, unlike Strickland
PEASE BRING WATER FOR YOUR DOG AND YOURSELF
There are no streams and possibly only few muddy puddles.
DOGS
Do you think you have a reactive or badly behaved dog? We don't care as long as you manage it appropriately. This may mean being at the back (or front) of the group. Also, don't worry about the barking.....
IMPORTANT
This is a social group, and you are 100% responsible for your dogs behavior.
This includes your dog being on leash (as per the NSW Companion Animals Act)
You are also 100% responsible for your own actions, safety etc if you choose to participate.
