About this Event

Join us for Labyrinth Soundscapes, an immersive evening of joyful live music in celebration of the new month featuring special guest musician, Heidi McCurdy. Experience a rich blend of crystal bowls, vocal harmonies, and ambient noise, designed to evoke the spirit of spring as you follow the winding path of the labyrinth.
This event offers a meditative space to connect with the sounds around us, fostering a sense of peace and connectedness as we welcome the new month ahead. Drop in for a bit and let the healing vibrations wash over you as you walk the labyrinth or bring your yoga mat and stay for the entire sound bath. The music will finish at 830pm to allow 30 minutes for silent walks.

Chairs are also provided for those who wish to enjoy the soundscape sitting. Doors close at 8:45. Suggested donation toward labyrinth upkeep is $15, if comfortably affordable, thank you.
Questions? Check the FAQ below, call 604-685-6832 or email [email protected], cash donations gratefully accepted on-site.

Labyrinth walking is an ancient meditation practice used by many different cultures for spiritual centering, contemplation, and prayer. For many, it is a way of centering themselves or of seeking insight during times of transition in their lives. The labyrinth is not a maze. There are no tricks to it and no dead ends. Walk at your own pace, releasing that which no longer serves you as you walk toward the centre and receiving whatever it is you need as you follow the same path out. Our labyrinth is a full 13-metre replica of the medieval labyrinth laid in the stone floor of the 13th-century Cathédrale de Notre-Dame de Chartres in France.

Sound healing is another ancient practice for meditation and self-care that harnesses the power of sound vibrations to promote healing and restoration. Research shows us that sound healing can slow down our brain waves and put our bodies in a very relaxed, dreamlike state. The vibrations of sound baths are thought to help you connect with your subconscious mind, allowing inner exploration and self-discovery.

About our special guest musician, Heidi McCurdy:

Heidi offers sound healing performances and trainings, for yoga studios, wellness events, conferences, spiritual communities, women’s groups and meditation circles. For these sessions, Heidi tunes in to the music of the moment, sharing healing songs, mantras, and intuitive improvisations. The resonance of crystal bowls and layered vocal harmonies, combined with the ancient call of the drum, create a blissful and enchanted ambience that enhances wellbeing on levels of heart, body, mind, soul and spirit. Having cultivated her own intimate relationship with the Muse, Heidi is a believer in the profound medicine of music - its power to heal, transform, elevate and connect us.
