The winter solstice on December 21st is the longest night of the year and serves as the backdrop to what we may feel at times as long nights of grief, especially during the holiday season. We experience different types of losses in our lives; the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a job, or our health. The Blue Christmas service serves to acknowledge our struggles and inspires our hope in Christ through prayer and fellowship. All are invited to join our clergy, along with The Rev. Jay Sidebotham, who will preach God’s Word and help instill our sure Hope in Christ. We’ll gather at Mt. Lebanon Chapel on December 21st at 4:00 p.m.
The collection plate from this service will go to the Mt. Lebanon Chapel Preservation Fund.
