2025 marks the 25th anniversary of the death of three of Canadaโs most significant and beloved composers: Violet Archer, Jean Coulthard, and Barbara Pentland. Despite everything they share: a coevality, gender, and legendary status, their musical styles could hardly be more contrasting.
