From tents to cooking equipment, we'll cover it all. Our experienced guides will share tips and tricks to make your outdoor adventure a breeze. Camping is a great way to go on a vacation and enjoy nature. Are you interested in adding camping to your outdoor activities? Need a little help getting started? Have you caught the Camping Bug and would like more information?

This course is designed to prepare individuals or family groups for car camping or Front Country experiences. Learn what is needed for your next or 1st camping adventure. Share insights you have learned in your experiences. It will be helpful for those new to camping or do not camp regularly but are looking to get out there. Those completing this session will be able to access the Philly Gear Library’s camping gear.

• Food: Cooking basics, types of stoves, equipment

• Fun: Camp Magic

What to bring: your questions, water, and a chair.

Note: This course is directed to individuals and families. This is course is not a comprehensive leadership development course that would be necessary for take groups on trips.
