Welcome to the London Community Tango Orchestra Sessions! Join us in Central London for monthly rehearsals filled with passion, rhythm and beauty. We ask you have around Grade 5 level and several years of playing and we will be exploring the beautiful melodies and rhythms of tango music from the 1920s up to today. Our sessions are a great way to meet new people, improve your musical skills, and have a fantastic time. Don't miss out on this opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of tango!
We have 2 semesters per year: September - January, then February - June and a performance in July. You can sign up for one or both semesters, and the rehersals are on the first Saturday of each month.You can also come and try it out for 1 free session.
At the non-profit Creative Caminito, founded by Caroline Pearsall, a tango violinist, we are building inclusive new tango music education & performance communities through innovative projects throughout the UK, developing musicianship, creativity, community, and intercultural understanding. We aim to enrich cultural opportunities in the UK, and develop multiple collaborations between Argentina & the UK. We currently have 4 monthly orchestras, London, Bristol, Leeds, and the New Forest, with more planned on the way. We will be collaborating with different dance schools and organisers, giving opportunites to UK based and traveling/London-based Argentine musicians to connect with us, share their musical wisdom, and to build a community of tango musicians in the UK, both professional and amateur.

Rehearsal Schedule
Info: The rehearsals take place over 4 hours, with a planned setlist of repertoire, which you will be sent in advance. Generally around 4-5 pieces are worked on each session, and this is all building up to a performance with live tango dancers in a dance school in July 2026.
