Calligraphy Exhibition by Sheung-Chak Yau & His Students
"Through teaching, Master Yau the lineage of calligraphy, reminding us that tradition survives not only in museums and books, but in living practice, brushstroke by brushstroke, character by character, heart to heart .... Calligraphy is meditation, philosopy and art all at once."
The Calligraphy exhibition will be on display in the Upper Gallery during gallery opening times from Thursday 27 November 2025 until Sunday 21 December 2025. All are welcome to send request for invite to PV on Wednesday 26 November 2025.

Calligraphy by Master Yau
Sheung-Chak YAU, pen name Chi Hang and studio name Mo Ming Ting, is a well-known calligrapher and seal carver in Hong Kong. Yau's calligraphy works have been selected for many large-scale calligraphy competitions, and he has have won multiple awards, such as the gold medal in the first National Literary Couplets Calligraphy Competition, and the champion in the open group of the 7th Yu Kaymui Cup Calligraphy Competition in Hong Kong. His works have also been exhibited in major cities, such as Nagoya in Japan, Paris in France, and various cities in China and have been included in various national-level calligraphy collections as well as national pavilions, art institutions, and private collections at home and abroad. Yau now resides in London.

H ELENA HUNG Artist, Brush Painting & Calligraphy
H elena Hung began her Chinese Brush Painting training from Master William Cai in London. Over the years, she has been inspired and mentored by artists from Taiwan, Hong Kong and USA. Her recent work is a fusion of Han traditional and Lingnan School of painting style. The latter of which emphasises in bright colour and bold strokes to achieve vividness and magnificence.
Her works have graced various exhibitions throughout London, including joint showcases at the prestigious Burgh House in Hampstead. She also donated her artworks to support numerous charitable causes. In 2019 for instance, she was invited to donate a painting to benefit The British Red Cross, where her creation was auctioned off at the Guildhall Christmas Market, making a meaningful impact. The display was viewed by esteemed guests including a Royal Family member.
