These are beginner-friendly, hands-on workshops designed for art lovers, anyone looking to unwind, and people eager to create unique handmade artworks—NO prior art experience required. Join us to slow down, relax, connect with traditional culture, and craft beautiful pieces you’ll be proud to take home!
We offer 3 separate standalone workshops. You can sign up for one or all sessions! All art supplies and authentic Chinese tea tasting (including herbal teas) are fully provided for FREE—just bring yourself and your creativity!
Workshop 1: Calligraphy Basics
Date & Time: Saturday, May 2 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Step into the elegant world of traditional calligraphy with this foundational workshop, perfect for total beginners!
• Learn proper brush holding techniques, basic ink preparation, and paper selection for calligraphy
• Master essential calligraphy strokes, simple character structures, and writing posture with step-by-step guidance
• Practice writing classic elegant characters and short meaningful phrases
• Create your first finished calligraphy piece to take home
• Get one-on-one tips from the instructor to refine your skills
Complimentary Authentic Chinese Tea Tasting Session
During the workshop break, we’ll host a peaceful Chinese tea tasting experience completely free of charge. Our instructor will introduce the long-standing history and etiquette of traditional Chinese tea culture, guide you through tasting classic Chinese teas and nourishing herbal teas, explain the unique flavors, health benefits, and brewing methods of different tea varieties, and let you experience the tranquil, healing charm of Chinese tea culture while resting your hands and calming your mind after calligraphy practice.
