WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO ATTEND AND BRING YOUR YOUNG PEOPLEYOU BRING YOUR YOUNG PEOPLE, WE'LL BRING THE TRUTH
This is part of the Pachuco Ball Project... the most important part. The Calle Cutura Community Forum is a free community event. It is a community-level education vehicle that seeks to share and teach the true history, resilience, and determination of Latinos, Mexican Americans, and the Chicano spirit. The format for this presentation is a moderator-coordinated three-member panel discussion and forum that includes an audience Q&A.
The goal is to speak to communities about the values, contributions, sacrifices, and struggles that makeup the cultural foundation that supports the story and journey of a people. Our story is an important part of the story of an intensely diverse puzzle called America. Our target audience is young people and adults who are the beneficiaries of those sacrifices and struggles. The Calle Cultura Community Forum is part of a three-day project that culminates in a celebratory event called the Pachuco Ball. The Pachuco Ball event shares our culture and journey through the arts expressions of music, fashion, and dance.
In the cultural diversity of American communities, all people and groups have a journey and a story, regardless of ethnicity. Hence, this effort is both a community opportunity and a positive way to share history and an informed perspective about the Latino, Mexican American, and Chicano experience with our community. All are welcome!
