CALL FOR ART! The Cathedral Arts Festival is Jersey City’s longest-running art exhibition and celebration of artists and community. During the festival, the beautiful 160-year-old sanctuary of Jersey City’s beloved Grace Church Van Vorst is transformed into an art gallery featuring dozens of artists from the tri-state area. This year’s formal champagne gala will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Grace Church Van Vorst, 39 Erie Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302. We reach out to our local art community and beyond to find the artists and work that will carry forward thirty plus years of creative excellence. Fine art mediums will be considered, including painting, sculpture, photography, multimedia, and drawing. We will consider submissions at a range of prices so that all members of the community can purchase original art of exceptional quality. All work is for sale with 60% of the sale going to the exhibiting artist and 40% to support Grace Church Van Vorst’s community programs, including the Grace Senior Center for Healthy Living and the Breakfast Plus program, which serves hot, nourishing meals to homeless, unemployed, underemployed, and food-insecure residents of Jersey City. .
