Come along for a slice of cake and a short play in the afternoon! This new play by John Bassett commemorates 100 years since the General Strike in Gloucester through story and song. Drawing on personal testimonies and archive accounts, the performance covers campaigns that have run in Gloucestershire to save, protect and help people and their environment, including the history of the General Strike itself.
Each £10 ticket includes a slice of delicious homemade cake and a hot drink of your choice, and the show is around an hour long. Performances are suitable for ages 11 and over.
All proceeds go towards the upkeep of our 500-year-old historic building and community hub.
The Protest! Project is supported by Voices Gloucester
