Caja del Rio Easter Sunrise Service
As the first light of dawn stretches across the high desert, First Presbyterian Church of Santa Fe invites you to a meaningful and memorable time of worship. Join Rev. Andrew Black for a sunrise service on the beautiful Caja del Rio, where the vast landscape and quiet stillness offer a sacred setting for reflection and prayer.
On this Easter morning, we gather at daybreak as the first followers did, when the women came to Jesus’ tomb and discovered the stone rolled away and the tomb empty. Together, we honor this transformative moment—celebrating the rising sun as a sign of new life, renewed hope, and the promise of resurrection in Christ.
Surrounded by sweeping views of four mountain ranges and the expansive beauty of the Caja del Rio, we rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the wonder of creation, and the God who overcomes death and brings eternal life.
Please meet at the La Cieneguilla Petroglyph Parking Lot by 6:20 a.m., where we will caravan to the service location atop the plateau. Refreshments will be provided afterward—stay and enjoy a time of food, fellowship, and community.
