The school's annual cross country event will take place on Friday, March 27th, at the Cairns Esplanade. Due to the number of participating students, the event will be divided into two sessions. Students are expected to attend as usual, with regular curriculum classes scheduled for half the day and participation in the Cross-Country event for the other half. Attendance is mandatory.
The Inter-House Cross Country is a school-wide event structured into two sessions. It serves to determine the Overall House Champion and Age Champions, select the school representative team, and promote physical activity while representing houses (Bruce, Collins, O’Keefe, Tully) in this longstanding school tradition.
To enhance the experience, a ‘Colour Run’ element will be included in the track. This optional section allows students to run through and be covered in safe, non-toxic coloured powder. Students who wish to participate in this segment must change into house colours or spare clothes (not their school uniform) before arriving at the Esplanade to prevent staining their uniform.
