About this Event
"cadira-cadera-catedral" is an evening-length work rooted in La Pelvis, inviting healing and resilient movement practices from different cultures. Inspired by Afro-Caribbean and African diaspora social dances, somatic work, yoga, and the artist’s own archive of embodied ancestral movement, choreographer Priscilla Marrero and her collaborators will take the audience on an ephemeral sensorial journey for liberation.
"cadira-cadera-catedral" expands the inquiry with motherhood, humor, and nature. Through a transdisciplinary improvisational score, the work asks: What happens when La Pelvis discovers its wisdom? Where will the unraveling of decolonizing our pelvises take us?
Our evening will conclude in a Fallas ceremony created by experimental sculptor Ferran Martín.
