For our June CABA meeting, John Ratcliff of Hendersonville, TN will be presenting on "Summer Beekeeping for Winter Success". What should we be doing now to ensure we strong colonies entering winter?
John established Ratcliff Honey Farm 14 years ago. He immediately began doing structural removals as a primary part of his business. He now employs his son and another helper in doing several removals per week, on top of his day job and managing 60-80 colonies! Many of the colonies he removes are donated to neighbors and non-profits. He is a past president of NABA - Nashville Area Beekeepers Association, current Board President of Honeybee Tennessee, and also does apiary management for country music stars around the Nashville area.
