After the success of last year’s inaugural Roman Festival, we are thrilled to bring you Buxton’s second Roman Festival, a two-day celebration of the town’s rich Roman heritage. This event will highlight the important role the Romans played in shaping Buxton, from its early development to the significance of its famous thermal waters.
The festival will feature immersive experiences for all ages, including captivating living history displays, Roman military living history, and interactive workshops on daily Roman life. Learn about the legendary healing properties of Buxton’s waters, explore Roman food and crafts, and discover how the Romans used the town’s natural resources.
