What does it mean to grow up unheard? To navigate school, family and society in a language you can’t fully access? This moving, deeply human show invites you into the world of Deaf and Deafblind Australians - their challenges, their resilience, and their extraordinary strength.Led by Deaf artists Princess Nidera and Eddie Szczepanik, alongside a hearing ensemble, this performance blends storytelling and signed song to illuminate experiences across generations. From the 1980s diagnosis that changed Szczepanik’s life, to Nidera’s journey from the Philippines to learning Auslan in Australia - this is theatre that nurtures connection and understanding.
Warm, insightful and profoundly important for regional audiences.
