This March, XTERRA returns to the granite headlands, forested singletrack, and coastal trails of Dunsborough for the region’s biggest celebration of trail running and outdoor exploration. A week-long festival that brings together trail runners, adventurers, and explorers of every age and ability from across the region and beyond.
For many, it’s the chance to race for XTERRA Asia-Pacific Trail Run titles. For others, it’s the opportunity to explore iconic Western Australian terrain, connect with the community, and experience life off-road at running pace.
A festival for anyone who lives to move through wild places, with a pathway in for every age and ability.

DAY-BY-DAY IN DUNSBOROUGH
Tuesday — Settle In & Explore
- Community trail runs and early course exploration offer a chance to loosen the legs, discover the terrain, and connect with fellow runners arriving from across the region.
Wednesday — Move With the Community
- A relaxed community run through coastal paths and forested singletrack. Time to share stories, experience the landscape, and settle into the rhythm of the trails — together and at your own pace.
Friday — Festival Opens
- The XTERRA Village comes alive with athlete check-in, kids activities, and trail-side conversations with XTERRA’s off-road triathlon pro athletes who will be taking to the trails on Saturday.
- Music, local culture, and community set the tone heading into race weekend.
Saturday — Get trackside for the APAC Off-Road Tri Champs
- Get trackside and support the off-road triathletes taking to the trails for World Cup points, Australian national titles, and XTERRA Asia-Pacific titles.
Sunday — Trail Run Championship Day
- The Trail Marathon, Trail Half Marathon, and 10K races close out the festival with a full celebration of the terrain that defines Dunsborough: granite headlands, forested singletrack, sweeping ocean views, and winding bushland trails.
-For elite and Age Division athletes, it’s the opportunity to claim XTERRA Asia-Pacific Championship titles. For top performers, it’s the chance to earn a place at the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship. And for everyone on the start line, it’s a chance to move through wild spaces alongside a global trail running community.
