About this Event
Join us for a bus tour to one of the most historic cities in our nation! As one of 50 attendees, you can see the Liberty Bell up close, see inside Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed, eat dinner inside Carpenter’s Hall in the room where the First Continental Congress was convened in 1774, tour the Museum of the American Revolution and the National Constitution Center, visit Valley Forge where Washington’s troops were encamped during the long winter of 1777/78, eat and drink in Philadelphia's oldest continually operated tavern, see the Justice Bell, which travelled throughout Pennsylvania in 1915 to help win women’s right to vote (visiting Meadville twice!) and more over four days and three nights full of special tours and amazing food!

Not included:
- 2 breakfasts (Wyndham Hotels has a restaurant but does not provide a complimentary breakfast. However, there is a small refridgerator and microwave in each hotel room and you can certainly bring a small cooler and light breakfast items for your room!)
- Lunches on Thursday and Sunday – these will be fast-food-type stops
- Lunch on Friday – on your own at Reading Market
- Dinner on Sunday – fast-food-type stop on return trip to Meadville
This trip includes mostly door-to-door transportation but will require some walking in Philadelphia – a block or two at a time. Additionally, due to the historic nature of some of the places we will be visiting, there may be a flight of stairs to climb in some locations. Please let us know of any accommodation you might need!

Deadline for reservations is March 20, 2026. (Note: due to hotel policies, no refunds on hotel reservation portions of your fee after March 20. Refunds after February 15 are dependent on CCHS ability to fill the seat(s)).
