About this Event
Bury Your Brothers Rehearsed Reading
Bury Your Brothers follows three university students as they navigate the stress of their final year, exploring topics of Orthorexia, male mental health and the often unspoken societal pressures that young men face. The play aims to open a dialogue about the impact of toxic masculinity and how it affects relationships both romantic and platonic.
This is a free, invite-only rehearsed reading, but as the play is in its research and development phase, we require audience members to complete both the pre-show questionnaire on the ticketing platform when they secure their place, and the post-show feedback form. This is an important part of the creative process, as it allows the writers and producers to ensure that the play is communicating its intended messages and serving its audiences.
We will also be collecting money for CALM, our charity partner, at the reading. The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. CALM stands together with everyone who’s struggling with life through their life-saving services, national campaigns, and by building communities.
