This engaging training examines the intricate relationship between flow and burnout, providing clinicians with practical strategies to help high achievers maintain peak performance while prioritizing mental well-being. Participants will explore the impact of unrelenting standards on cognitive fusion and resilience, learning how these factors contribute to burnout and hinder psychological flexibility. Through evidence-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) interventions—including mindfulness practices, values-based action, and self-compassion techniques—clinicians will gain actionable tools to promote sustainable flow, enhance psychological flexibility, and mitigate burnout in high-performing clients.

Anastasia Sfiroudis-Rodriguez, LCSW, is a psychotherapist, mental health leader, and trainer based in New York. She specializes in treating anxiety, perfectionism, and burnout in high achievers and athletes. As a former athlete and recovering perfectionist herself, Anastasia is known for her dynamic and empathetic approach. She encourages clients and colleagues to embrace growth and continuous improvement—reflecting her practice’s name, Meliora, which means “better things ahead.”
Anastasia owns and operates Meliora Psychotherapy, a private practice where she uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help high achievers, students, and athletes build resilience, develop psychological flexibility, and live authentically in alignment with their values.
She also serves on the board of the ACBS Social Work Special Interest Group (SIG) and is currently pursuing her Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) certification to further enhance her expertise in performance consulting.
