Тази година ще имаме удоволствието да гледаме:
Здравка Николова е учител в българското училище в Бостън и Кейп код през последните 14 години. Любовта и към музиката е във всяка една училищна изява. И преди три години организира вокална група към училището в Бостън, в която съчетава любовта си към преподаването и пеенето. За поредна година нейните талантливи изпълнители ще ни зарадват с патриотични песни по повод празника на Родината.
Фолклорен ансамбъл “Българска китка” е част от българското училище в Нантъкет. Той е основан през 2017 г. с мисията да съхранява и предава българските традиции на младото поколение. Включва над 35 участници на възраст от 5 до 18 години. Репертоарът обхваща песни и танци от много етнографски области на България. Ансамбълът редовно изнася самостоятелни концерти и участва в местни тържества. Танцов ръководител е г-жа Кристина Христова.
Българското училище в Бостън и Кейп Код е постоянен гост на празничния ни концерт, посветен на Трети март. Миналата година то празнува 25 години от създаването си. На концерта ще се представят ученици от 5,6,7 клас от клона ни в Бостън, водени от Петя Добрева и Силвия Михалева. Тази година за пръв път ще има представители и от клона на училището в Кейп Код, ръководени от Теодора Торес. Преди няколко месеца клонът на училището в Кейп Код отбеляза 10 години от създаването си.
Квартет Приятели: Група млади възпитаници на българското училище и дейни доброволци. Всеотдайни и обединени от любовта си към България и българската общност.
Елица Стойнева-Кръстев: е певица, български фолклорист и носител на редица престижни национални и международни отличия. Тя е изнасяла концерти на световноизвестни сцени, сред които оперните театри в Кайро и Александрия в Египет, Berklee Performance Center в Бостън, Grand Prospect Hall в Ню Йорк и Sanders Theater в Кембридж. Чрез своята музика тя не само представя България, но и докосва публиката, влагайки, както сама казва, „обич и сърце“ във всяко свое изпълнение.
Освен че е изпълнител, Елица е и активен лектор, който споделя знанията си за българския фолклор, традиционната музика и тяхното място в културната и научната сфера. Тя изследва ролята на музиката в културната дипломация и нейното въздействие върху човешката психика и емоции.
Тя вярва, че музиката е универсален език, който обединява хората, и че съществува дълбока връзка между мелодията, ритъма и човешкото съзнание. Нейната мисия е не само да съхранява и популяризира българската традиционна музика, но и да покаже нейното значение отвъд сцената – в науката, медицината и културния диалог.
Танцов ансамбъл “Лудо Младо” е основан в Бостън, Масачузетс през 2002 година. Ръководители на групата са Петър Петров, бивш професионален танцьор от българският държавен ансамбъл “Родопа” и Мариета Мирчева, възпитаник на Националното училище за танцово изкуство в София, България. Мисията на Лудо Младо е да съхрани и популяризира фолклорните танци и традиции на България.
Клуб по народни танци “7/8-ми” e основан през 2016 г. от Мариета Мирчева, възпитаник на Националното училище за танцово изкуство в град София. Задачата на “7/8- ми” е да обучава любители от всички възрастови групи на популярни и основни български хора, както и да превърне всяка репетиция в приятно и зареждащо изживяване. Класовете по танци се провеждат всеки петък в Българският Център в Нова Англия.

About the event:
This year we are happy to welcome:
Zdravka Nikolova has been a teacher at the Bulgarian school in Boston and Cape Cod for the past 14 years. Her love for music is also in every school performance. And three years ago, she organized a vocal group at the school in Boston, in which she combined her love for teaching and singing. For another year, her talented performers will delight us with patriotic songs on the occasion of the National Liberation Day.
Folk ensemble "Bulgarian Kitka" is part of the Bulgarian School in Nantucket. It was founded in 2017. with the mission of preserving and passing on Bulgarian traditions to the younger generation. It includes over 35 participants aged 5 to 18 years. The repertoire includes songs and dances from many ethnographic regions of Bulgaria. The ensemble regularly performs solo concerts and participates in local celebrations. The dance director is Mrs. Kristina Hristova.
The Bulgarian School in Boston and Cape Cod is a regular participant at our concert dedicated to March 3rd. Last year, the school celebrated its 25th anniversary. The concert will showcase students from grades 5, 6, and 7 from our Boston branch, led by Petya Dobreva and Silvia Mihaleva. This year, for the first time, representatives from the Cape Cod branch of the school will also be performing, led by Teodora Torres. A few months ago, the Cape Cod branch of the school marked its 10th anniversary.
Quartet Friends: A group of young graduates of the Bulgarian school and active volunteers. Dedicated and united by their love for Bulgaria and the Bulgarian community.
Ms. Elitsa Stoyneva-Krastev is a Bulgarian folklorist and award-winning singer. She has performed at numerous concerts and competitions in Bulgaria and around the world.
After moving to the United States, Elitsa continued to sing, proudly representing Bulgaria, as she writes, “with passion and heart.” She has performed as a guest artist at many prestigious music venues, including the Opera Houses in Cairo and Alexandria in Egypt, the Berklee Performance Center in Boston, the Grand Prospect Hall in New York, and Sanders Theater at Harvard University.
Elitsa is also a frequent guest lecturer at universities and conferences worldwide, where she shares her expertise in the history of Bulgarian folklore, traditional music, and the cultural and scientific aspects of music. She believes in the power of music “as a unique way of connecting people” and in the deep, underlying relationship between music, neuroscience, and medicine.
Folk dance ensemble “Ludo Mlado” was founded in Boston, MA in 2002. The group is led by Peter Petrov, a former professional dancer from the Bulgarian State Ensemble "Rodopa," and Marieta Mircheva, a graduate of the National School of Dance Art in Sofia, Bulgaria. Ludo Mlado's mission is to preserve and showcase Bulgaria's rich folk dances and traditions.
Folk dance club “7/8-ths” was founded in 2016 by Marieta Mircheva, a graduate of the National School of Dance Art in Sofia, Bulgaria. The mission of “7/8-ths” is to teach dance enthusiasts of all ages the most popular and fundamental Bulgarian folk dances while making each rehearsal an enjoyable and fun experience. Dance classes are held every Friday at the Bulgarian Center of New England.
