All poets, spoken word artists and enthusiasts are welcome for an evening of spoken word with host Jamele Adams, aka Harlym 125. Share your work or hone your listening. What is a poetry JAM? Whereas a poetry slam is a competitive art event in which poets perform spoken word poetry before a live audience and a panel of judges, a poetry JAM doesn’t necessarily have the competitive aspect (ours will not). We welcome all poets and spoken word artists age 16 and up, whether you’ve done this before or not!
Doors open at 6:30pm, free and open to teens and adults. Please consider a donation at the door to ensures that events like this can continue to take place at The Big Yellow House.
About Harlym125: The1Two5 remains well known nationally and in multitudes poetry circles. Known as Harlym 125, He is a frequent and highly regarded figure in competitions, performance, concerts and beyond. 125 is part of the Boston area poetry scene and has joined teams of poets who have won numerous competitions regionally and nationally.
