About this Event

During this full-day workshop, small business owners and entrepreneurs will gain the tools to develop a successful business plan. This will help you build a strong business with the capacity to build generational wealth.

Hispanic Federation is working with local community-based organizations to offer small business resiliency workshops and facilitate conversations on strategic planning, financing, digitizing, successes, and challenges.

Our mission is to build a strong, supportive ecosystem of entrepreneurs and small business champions who can help each other succeed while elevating the economic and cultural power of our communities.

Jessica Spaulding

Founder, Harlem Chocolate Factory

A Harlem native and award-winning entrepreneur who turned her passion for chocolate into a thriving business. Winner of The New York Public Library’s business plan competition and named one of Oprah’s “Favorite Things.” Jessica has secured over $125,000 in grants and is recognized nationally for her creativity and business savvy.


Dr. Dayanara Marte (“Dr. Dee”)

Founder, The World Healing Lab, Sanctuary Retreat Center, Institute & ELG Botanica

A first-generation Dominican immigrant, Dr. Dee is a public health expert, healing justice advisor, and author. She specializes in helping women of color leaders transform trauma into resilience and sustainable leadership. Her work has influenced organizations worldwide for over 25 years.

Yesmin Vega, Director for Economic Empowerment at Hispanic Federation

Yesmín Vega is the Director of Economic Empowerment at Hispanic Federation, overseeing the organization's financial education, small business and basic needs access programs. Her past experiences include leading commercial revitalization and community planning initiatives in the Bronx and Puerto Rico.

Yesmín holds B.A.s in International Relations and Political Science from Boston University and an M.S. in Urban Planning from Columbia University.

Durante este taller de día completo, los dueños de pequeños negocios y emprendedores recibirán las herramientas necesarias para desarrollar un plan de negocios exitoso. Esto te ayudará a construir un negocio sólido con la capacidad de generar riqueza generacional.

Hispanic Federation trabaja junto a organizaciones comunitarias locales para ofrecer talleres de resiliencia empresarial y facilitar conversaciones sobre planificación estratégica, financiamiento, digitalización, logros y desafíos.
