About this Event
This evening explores how Black museums and cultural institutions are built, sustained, and protected. Drawing from firsthand experience, Phil Armstrong will discuss the challenges, strategies, and lessons learned while helping bring Greenwood Rising to life.
The program includes a short film produced by Seattle Griot Project documenting field research conducted in Tulsa in 2022—revealing how easily history can disappear when preservation is not intentional.
Doors open at 5:30pm
This project is supported by 4Culture to advance community-led preservation and cultural diversity across King County.
