Epicenter is inviting founders in the local tech community to join our team at Epicenter's downtown headquarters to connect with their peers and learn about the available resources to support scalable businesses in Memphis!
Taking place on May 21st from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00p.m., attendees can expect to hear about the startup opportunities available in Memphis from Nate Smith, Director of Startup Services at Epicenter.
You can also expect to hear from local entrepreneurs who have founded and grown their businesses through the help of Epicenter and the broader Memphis entrepreneur ecosystem. For this event, we will be providing appetizers from Kitchen Guru Catering Co. and a selection of beverages bartended by Juice by Lissa including a Blue Note Bourbon craft cocktail.
Please RSVP by May 14th to confirm your attendance. We hope to see you there! Epicenter is located at 150 Peabody Place right at the intersection of Peabody and BB King. Epicenter's entrance is at the corner of Peabody & BB King. Street parking is available. Garage parking is available at 250 Peabody Place.

About the Speakers: Nate Smith
Nate Smith is Epicenter’s Director of Startup Services. Nate has been working with venture capital, angel investors, and startups for almost a decade, and is also a musician and artist.
About the Speakers: Erika Dillard, MD, PhD
Erika Dillard, MD, PhD is a physician scientist and surgeon entrepreneur trained in neurosurgery, critical care and translational research. She earned an MD/PhD from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where she focused on developing an oncolytic virus for treatment of malignant brain tumors. During her neurosurgical training, Dr. Dillard realized the importance of patient safety and quality improvement in surgical outcomes. As a fellow in the Patents2Product postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Memphis, she was provided the opportunity to combine these interests with her passion for innovation through entrepreneurship which led to her current venture, PopCheck Technologies, Inc.
About the Speakers: Stuart Lott
Stuart founded Backbone, an all-in-one financial management platform for microbusinesses. Stuart recognized the challenges small business owners face in managing their finances and saw Memphis as the perfect place to launch his venture. With Epicenter's support, Backbone has made significant progress and had an impact for small business owners far larger than just the support Stuart received.
