Prerequisite for this Course : We recommend that you completed the Deeper Lamrim Course, or are in process of completing it. At the very least, you should have studied the Lamrim (Buddhist philosophy Course Intro) or have a good familiarity with Buddhist Teachings. In PERSON or ONLINE
Buddha's Teachings are aimed at taming one's own mind of all mental afflictions and delusions to find inner peace. This state is only possible with a deep and acute knowledge of one's own mind and how it functions. Knowledge of reality is also of crucial importance, because Buddhist Teachings say that all the sufferings originate from a wrong perception of reality.
This course aims to present the basics of the nature or reality and nature of the mind and its aspects and how it functions, and, moreover, how this knowledge can bring us the Liberation and Enlightenment. The main topic to be covered will be the mind and the 51 mental factors. If we have time, we may also briefly cover the 5 paths and 10 grounds and the 4 Buddhist philosophical Systems.
