Delve into the essentials of handling full-grain leather, including cutting, edging, burnishing, designing, hardware installation, and potentially dyeing. Each participant will craft their own custom-fitted belt, choosing from a selection of premium leathers, buckles, and finishes. *If you are making this belt as a gift, please come with their current belt/pant size. Whether you are new to leatherwork or looking to refine your skills, this workshop offers a satisfying, tactile experience and a belt you (or the gift recipient) will be proud to wear for years to come.
No experience needed. All tools and materials provided.
What you’ll do:
- Learn basic leatherworking techniques
- Choose from a variety of leather colors and belt widths
- Stamp your piece with a word or symbol of your choice
- Burnish, finish, and attach hardware of your choice
- Take home a handcrafted belt to keep or gift
