Known as a founding member of Big Thief and a singular solo artist, Buck Meek blends folk intimacy, kinetic live energy, and subtle electronic textures. On The Mirror, guitars glow, modular synths shimmer, and language bends into something vulnerable, playful, and profound. Raised in Texas and shaped by outlaw poets, jazz improvisers, and house-show dreamers, Meek’s songs hold duality—darkness and light, demon and angel—inviting listeners into reflection rather than resolution. Live, that openness becomes communal. Later, he moved to New York where he met Adrianne Lenker. The two lived in a van while singing their songs across the country before forming Big Thief.
