Brunette Champion is the project started in 2022 by Bianca Ocampo, a singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Brooklyn. Her debut EP, "The Luxury of Living Slow," written and produced in 2020, delves into the anxieties of her post-graduate life amidst a pandemic. Leaving behind structured familiarity and its impact on her self-perception - and even her judgment - “The Luxury of Living Slow” chronicles the inner conflict of pursuing creativity and authenticity in the face of depression and the pressures of capitalism.
Her latest EP, released on July 12, 2024, titled “Following your blissful feelings…,” explores three types of love; reflecting on the joys, consequences, and bittersweet resolutions that come with seeking it.
Embracing and embodying duality throughout all her works, Bianca is also known by her moniker urbanation, a fully self-produced project that began in the closet of her childhood bedroom in 2012 and has since garnered over 8 million streams across various platforms. urbanation has shared the stage with notable acts including Beach Fossils and Black Belt Eagle Scout, and has performed at esteemed venues such as Baby's All Right (NY) and Paper Tiger.
