PBS and APO are proud to present Broadway's Leading Men: A Musical Celebration, a special concert event that will air nationally, celebrating the unforgettable male characters and beloved songs that have defined musical theater throughout decades. Filmed on Feb. 3, 2024, at the historic Crampton Auditorium at Howard University, this tribute highlights the profound impact Broadway has had on American arts and its enduring legacy.
This 80-minute show will be followed by a live Q&A with APO’s and Broadway’s Leading Men’s Music Director, Luke Frazier.
Broadway's Leading Men will feature a selection of beloved Broadway hits, along with new arrangements crafted specifically for this national broadcast. This special promises to inspire audiences and remind them of the powerful role musical theater plays in our cultural heritage.
The concert features an extraordinary lineup of acclaimed talent, including:
