About this Event
Curated with writer Philip Hoare, looks at the impact of the punk and post-punk period of the 70s and 80s, and its present-day reverberations. The exhibition analyses the still vibrating traces of the punk scene from an analogue age.
A specially commissioned, billboard-scale photomontage work by Linder Sterling – inspired by Raphael and the footballer Miguel Azeez – is part of the exhibition, which also features archive works by Linder from the mid-1970s, including evocative images from the celebrated Manchester gay/drag club, Dickens, and her famous photomontage work for the Buzzcocks’ Orgasm Addict record sleeve.
Martin is a Deaf Architect and an established BSL facilitator for galleries and museums. After the tour, Martin will lead a creative workshop inspired by the exhibition.
