This British Science Week we are celebrating the scientific work of the Botanic Garden with a one-day event centred around the theme ‘Curiosity: what’s your question?’There will be hands-on fun science activities for all ages, and a chance to talk to the Science Team about the work they do to conserve and safeguard Welsh plant species within the Seed Bank and Herbarium.
Find us within the Great Glasshouse near the western entrance.
What to Expect:
🔬 Peek down a microscope and see amazing seeds up close – discover the tiny details you’d never normally see
❓ Become a nature detective and guess what our mystery objects are used for
🌴 Go on a plant adventure through the Great Glasshouse with our fun Plant Adaptation Trail
🌿Discover the hidden beauty of herbarium specimens and explore their intricate preserved details
