The Black Music Congress (BMC) forum returns to the Oliver Thompson Lecture Theatre at City University, now City St George's, University of London, after an absence of several years, to mark the developments of British black music within the first quarter of the 21st century.

Dedicated to the memory of the late , who as head of the estwhile Creative Industries Unit, supported the Black Music Congress (BMC) forums, starting from March 2002. Also in our thoughts is songwriter/publisher Des Chisholm, who supported several BMC forums by providing refreshments and takking photos.
