Calling all beginner and intermediate shredders! Join us for lessons and a day immersed in freeride starting at the one day only closed-off Bridge Valley Road, a dreamy spot hardly ever accessible and great for learning to slide.

The mission:
This event offers a secure environment for experimenting with sliding or refining your current skills, all at an amazing location not typically available for skating. Learning to slide can be challenging when self-taught, and we understand it may seem like an activity with a steep learning curve. Our goal is to break down those barriers and make freeride & downhill more accessible for all.
About the classes:
There will be lessons for Adults and Kids with limited spots of 5 people per class which you can book in advance. These will be taught by experienced skaters. Classes have a general ticket price of £15 and low income ticket option at £10 and all income pays your sliding teachers kindly giving their time to support the whole day. Itinerary:
9AM - 12PM: Rollin' into the Day on Bridge Valley Road
We'll kick off the day with beginner and intermediate lessons on Bridge Valley Road.
*Bridge Valley Road is of course open for everyone so if you aren't coming for lessons we of course can't stop you skating (& we wouldn't want to), we just ask that you respect people trying to learn (we've all been beginners at some point 🙃).
1:30 PM onwards Brunel Way Pump Track and ~3:00PM Chill slide jam, snacks and chill with the sunset at Ashton Court:
Following the morning lessons, the Bristol community and beyond is welcome to join at Brunel Way pump track followed by a slide jam and chill at Ashton Court. This is a chance to try something new in a safe space, improve your skills, connect with others in the longboarding community, and make the most of our city's skate-able spaces.
This event is a collaboration between Vandem Longboard Shop and Light Soul Ventures who offer Longboarding Lessons.
