Learn simple principles to be calm, relaxed, and positive under pressure, using mind and body together effectively.
About this Event

Join us for a 6-week beginners course, classes on Sunday at 6 - 8pm.

Aikido develops mental and physical skills to maintain a calm and positive mindset. This helps you remain clear-headed and make good decisions in challenging situations.

Because it’s about not fighting, Aikido works in many situations and has benefits across your life and interactions with other people (it’s also good fun). In this six week course, you will learn the basic principles of Ki Aikido in a way that is accessible to anyone.

These will include:

  • Ki for health exercises to loosen and lengthen the body
  • Ki development exercises to train physical efficiency, based on relaxation and posture
  • Principles of mind and body co-ordination – demonstrating how mind and body work together to create greater resilience
  • How to fall and roll safely
  • How to work with a partner without creating conflict
  • A set of beginner level throws and falls

You can join our club at any time. However the advantages of starting with this course include:

  • starting at the same time as other beginners and practising together at the same level
  • introductory classes designed specifically for new starters
  • a discounted rate on classes, which absorbs your annual membership and insurance

For more details and contact info, see: visit our club page on the Ki Federation website.
