Maya began playing the cornet at the age of 8, playing with local brass band Severn Tunnel, progressing to the trumpet at age 13. She has recently gained a First Class Honours Degree from the RWCMD, studying the trumpet with Philippe Schartz, Robert Samuel and Dean Wright. Her professional engagements have included work with the British Sinfonietta, Welsh National Opera, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the. The Welsh Pops Orchestra. Maya came to us highly recommended and we wish her all the very best for the future.
