Brighton hots up for inaugural Sauna Festival
Get ready to sweat, plunge, and play. From 29–31 May 2026, the iconic Brighton shoreline will transform into a steaming sanctuary as the inaugural Brighton Sauna Festival fills the beach.
Hundreds of international sauna-lovers as well as first-timers will flock to the festival to immerse themselves in a pop-up sauna spectacular.
Designed and hosted by the British Sauna Society, the festival celebrates the Sussex city’s role as the birthplace of the UK’s booming sauna culture and draws on a long-standing tradition of coastal wellness that dates to Victorian times, when people first came to the seafront to bathe, restore, and reconnect. With over 20 mobile saunas landing on the pebbles alongside the city’s Beach Box Spa, visitors will be able to experience the steam in an amazing range of spaces including horseboxes, trucks, a huge 25-seater hot box, a pink sauna, sauna tents and more.
Renowned DJ Rob Da Bank will be curating the event music and there will be live DJ sets every evening from 6pm plus Full Moon celebrations on Saturday and Sunday.
Visitors can access the Brighton Sauna Festival via bookable 2-hour sessions, whose themes follow the coastal sun from the gentle glow of morning to the atmospheric energy of the evening, with activities, practices, and music to reflect each. This will include breathwork, meditation, movement, music and dancing.
Tickets are only available via the specialist sauna App – Lowlu – quick to download and easy to use or visit https://www.britishsaunasociety.org.uk/brighton-sauna-festival-26.
Over 18s only.
