We can finally officially announce the exciting news that we will be hosting our first ever Brighton Football Card & Memorabilia Show
About this Event

Who are we?

We are 4 good friends from Brighton and we all have important and stressful daytime jobs. However, football and particularly the hobbies around football, are our escape! We are season ticket holders, European football travellers’ and proud owners of stadium memorial bricks.

Through our parenting roles, we all play a key role to encourage the next generation of football collectors to get involved in this wonderful hobby.

We have all been collecting for many, many years, and heavily involved within our local footballing communities. These roles range from FA coaching, scouting, captaining, transportation and even owning football related businesses.

SAVE THE DATE: SATURDAY 19TH OCTOBER 2024

We are all fiercely passionate about the hobby of football cards & stickers, football memorabilia, and sharing our passion around this..

BRIGHTON FOOTBALL CARD & MEMORABILIA SHOW

Through our jobs, we also recognise the importance football offers in supporting mental health, well-being and those with additional needs. We regularly see how satisfying sorting some cards can be at the end of a stressful day, and how banter within a Whatsapp football group chat can lighten a dark day. We know the joy of talking with someone with autism about football, and learning and listening to their amazing knowledge and the vast facts and stats they’ve studied.

We want the Brighton Football Card & Memorabilia Show to support this.

Who do we want to attend?

Everyone. Like many we feel Football has a lot to learn from Rugby. Referees who control the game and players and a VAR system that is fast and efficient and correct. For our show we also want to take a lead from Rugby and particularly want to follow the New Zealand All Blacks policy on player selection. No Dickheads!

We aim to make the show inclusive so that anyone can attend- except of course the above. We have chosen a venue with “too much” space to ensure everyone can attend and with lots of space inside and outside for those who may want to take a break. Whilst the ground space might feel a little tight in places the high (in fact ridiculously high) ceilings still give a feeling of tremendous space.

There is a multi-storey car park adjacent to the venue, should people only want to make a short visit or need to bring an assortment of equipment or things to keep everyone amused.

We have lots of local amenities should you need to go for a walk and take a brain break. And should you want to bring the whole family the rest of Brighton is close by to explore. Just don’t give them your credit card!!

Why a football only show?

Everyone loves football don’t they?! Like many of us you will have attended other amazing card or football events. You may have even have been to a shop that specialises in football cards or football shirts.

To do this we felt there was a chance to be unique and to celebrate our love of football, football cards, football memorabilia and all things football.

Why football cards and memorabilia?

Card Shows are already well established and many who attend these shows wear current and retro shirts, so there is a logical link. There is also an existing and growing memorabilia community for pin badges, Match programmes and autographs.

For us memorabilia is also about learning for the next generation. You can learn so much by flicking through an old programme, and reading up on those vintage legends awaiting to be rediscovered.

You need to know about Eusebio and Dixie Dean if you are interested in Mbappe and Endrick. And with online games many of the younger generation have heard of them but don’t really know much more than their Fifa rating.

Show Timings and Tickets

The show will start at 10am and run to 4pm.

Tickets can be purchased from Eventrbrite.

Tickets are £10 per adult (over 14 years old) which also entitles you to 1 FREE Under 14’s to attend with you.
