About this Event

As part of the annual Family Day Take Part, celebration of multi-cultural arts and heritage.

Brighton &Hove Black History invites you to come aboard the Thomas High-Flyer Bus for a city-wide tour with historians Dr Bert Williams MBE & Suchi Chattterjee.

Explore some of the city’s prominent sites and places that have a significant connection to the contributions of those from the Global Majority and people of colour.

With full commentary this experience will celebrate and honour the diverse cultural landscape of our city.

Hear about the life of a 13-year enslaved African Boy now buried at Woodvale Cemetery, and the wedding ceremony of an African princess at St Nicholas Church and many more.

This tour is brought to you by Brighton & Hove Black History in partnership with African Night Fever courtesy of Brighton & Hove Buses.
