Clive Oxby (1964–1987)was a visionary artist and special effects creator from Orrell Park, Liverpool. A lifelong fan of Doctor Whoand imaginative fantasy, Clive displayed remarkable creativity from an early age—experimenting with sculpture, acrylics, and mixed media to bring extraordinary worlds and characters to life. His exceptional talent earned him a grant from the Tate Gallery to develop his craft and produce artwork inspired by Liverpool. Featured at the Walker Art Gallery at just 18 with his striking pieces Demon Headand Fred the Spider, Clive was a quiet, gifted individual who dedicated his short life to exploring the boundaries of art, sound, and storytelling. Though his time was brief, his legacy lives on through his work and the cherished memories of his cousin and closest friend, Justine. Brief will show some of Clive's artwork depicting the life and city of Liverpool through his own eyes.
