About this Event
The average 911 emergency communication center in the United States is operating with 3-4 different generations at any given time. This holds true for the OUC team. Communication traits for each generation and strategies for success working with each generation will be given. Students will actively work in teams fostered by the instructor to bring about real communication and tremendous progress in a matter of hours, not days. Students will complete small group exercises leading to specific communication problem-solving that can be used right away.
We will explore the science and fundamentals of verbal judo and its use within the 911 center to bring a dynamic and forward-moving culture. Some of our students and administrators have called this class career and life changing.
The psychology of chosen words and conflict resolution within the context of generations will be presented and the material is suitable for all team members. Note: This is a new Fall 2024 class.
